This side-by-side comparison of the first draft of the animatic and the final product (featuring the soundtrack of the animatic) is designed to illuminate our work process. In this case we were given the off-voice text and speaker recording, and followed a verbal brief of the director. Alongside the development of the animatic we created the final model of the “lab boss” character for final approval. And as you can see, the rest of the process was all about “colouring in the blanks”! Smooth like a petri dish.
